Due Monday November 3rd by 8am.Choose one of the following prompts:

1. Write a narrative starting with the words "It was a dark and stormy night...."

2. Explain in detail your favorite Halloween or trick or treating experience. Explain who you went with, your costume, and any other details that made it your favorite/best halloween.

My favorite trick-or treating experience was today. I went with Emma Hunt, Emma Bixel, and Alese Haviland. My costume is a dead prom queen, Emma Hunt was a fairy, Emma Bixel was a half devil half angel, of as I like to call it,"a dangel", and Alese was a fairy also. What made this night my favorite of all my other trick-or-treating experiences is that we we had a really great time together. We started trick-or-treating at the end of our street then work our way up the street. ST some houses they gave us a ton of candy! Even a few houses gave us those big one dollar chocolate bars. We were walking around in our shoes for about an hour and a half, except Emma Bixel! She decided that she wanted to walk around in her bare feet all night because all she brought was her high heels. I offered her if she wanted to wear me flats for a while because i knew that if I was walking in my bare feet all night, my feet would really hurt. Emma refused to take my shoes. I warned her that she would she stub her toes, she didn't listen and ended up stubbing her toes five times by trick-or-treating was over. As we were trick-or-treating, we saw Lexi Holland and her family trick-or-treating on our street. This year we didn't as much candy as normal. Probably because of the big Perry football playoff game. There were almost fifteen houses on our street that weren't even home. I thought that there would be less people at the Perry game and more passing out candy. After we were done trick-or-treating, Emma Bixel, Alese and I all slept over Emma hunts house. Our feet were so sore, even of those that had shoes on! We ate some pizza when we got to Emmas' house and then stayed up late and ate almost have of our trick-or-treating candy. Yes, we were very hyper. We all made up a cheerleading dance to "my hips don't lie remix." We haven't finished it yet though. We watch the movie "The Day After Tomorrow, " it was a really good movie. We didn't get to bed until about one thirty in the morning. Everyone got up around seven thirty or eight o'clock. We had pancakes for breakfast, except Emma Bixel, she had cold pizza from last night. After breakfast we went on her back porhc and practiced the dance some more and added a few more moves to it. Then it was about ten o'clock and I had to get packed up and go home because my mom was gone and my little sister was home all alone and she's ten. So then Emma, Emma and Alese walked me home. I had a great time trick-or-treating and over Emma Hunts' house. This had been my best trick-or-treating experience so far!!

Block 3 Due by October 15th at 10pm.

What is your favorite fall activity? Who do you do the activity with? When do you do it? How do you feel? Describe the activity to me. Be as detailed as possible. Make sure that you have 300 words for this free write. Hint- Write the freewrite into a word document. Check the word count in the document then copy and paste it over

One of my favorite fall activities is carving pumpkins with my family. My family usually does this all together, even my little sisters! First we cut a hole at the top of the pumpkin(s) and start scraping all the seeds out. Lily and Lydia don’t usually do this part; they don’t like getting all gooey. Once all the seeds are scraped out, we find a cool or scary picture in a pumpkin carving book my mom buys. Next, we tape the picture on and begin poking holes on the outline of the picture so it is easier to carve it. Once we’re done poking, we begin the carving. Now this part of pumpkin carving, my little sisters has to get mommy’s or daddy’s help. After we’re done with all the carving, we put a little candle in and put it outside on our porch and let it shine though the night. When I do this activity with my family, I feel excited that Halloween is right around the corner because we usually carve the pumpkins the night before, and of course I feel…artistic!!

Another one of my favorite fall activities is going trick-or-treating with my best friends (that live mostly on my street. I’m sorry to those I don’t get to go trick-or-treating with) When I go trick-or-treating I have always done it with one of my best friends, Emma Hunt. Ever since I move to Perry, it has always been with Emma. This year we invited some more friends to come with us. When I go trick-or-treating, I feel very excited, little hyper from all the candy, and I also feel apprehensive. I hate getting scared. We walk around our whole street and plus some of the condos across the street from us. I get lots of candy. On our street the trick-or-treating usually last about 2 hours. I cannot wait for Halloween to come this year. Its only 17 days away!! These are 2 of the many of my favorite things to do in fall.

HAPPY early HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!!
